Aren't you like super sick of hearing about NYFW... "I was front row at A. Wang and V. Beckham, sitting right across from David and Anna."
I. Cannot. Stand. It. Instagram is saturated with posts about it; every magazine is filled with reviews, which are pretty much all the same, and, not to mention, everyone who's anyone (including 'no one's, you don't have to be famous or an influence, I mean), is trying to one-up everyone else about the cooler thing they did during NYFW.
"I saw the back of Kim K's head." Like, OMG!...(is that supposed to be impressive).
I am in fashion, and have worked many shows. It's great, really. The whole week is amazing, I understand the hype and why people get so excited and want to post everything they possibly can about it...however, it has now turned into a competition. Who saw who; which show you were at that Anna Wintour was; if you had VIP passes; who's Instagram picture had the least noticeable zoom; and who knows what else. It's exhausting to keep up with.
And I'm over here like...thanks for posting all your final walks on IG because I now know each show start to finish...HAHA. Ok, kidding. I do keep up with it on Vogue, Harper's, Style.com, elle.com, I pretty much just obsess with it as much as everyone else but strictly for the clothes, the fashion, and the style.
I hope people still appreciate how much work the designers put into these shows and, more importantly, how unbelievable it is that each season, these designers come up with an entire new and unique line. So much respect. Here's to the designers.
