I am so not a girly girl and definitely not a tom boy, but I have to go with Sex and The City on this one where SJP says that 'maybe girls are your soul mates and boys are just to have fun with.' And also!...When she says, 'You can get through anything with your girlfriends.'
Counting on other people?... Yes. It is actually possible. Going looking for life-long friends in high school or college may seem like an ideal thing to do; although, it just seems to happen that the ones you didn't think you'd be close with were the ones that you ended up being post-college friends.
Or even, life long friends...
Getting over a guy is never ever easy. I was sooooo in love with someone that neither you, or he, could even fathom it - since you know me now. However, beside all that, I want you to know to know that you will be able to get over any dude; any guys; any man that you fall in love or lust with. And, by doing so, it takes friends, girlfriends, moms, dads, family, and the love of your own faults, to get over everything. If its one thing I ever promise to any stranger (on this blog that no one reads, lol) it's that you will know when you're past it. Someone told me that I would know when I fell in love; and it was true. But, no one told me when I would get over my first love.
That was real.
I want you to know that you will get over it. No matter how deep or real it is; or how long or old you are, you will move on and the best way is to focus on yourself. Set an alarm for your job to be earlier than you normally are, eat breakfast (make your own), run, walk, jog, go on weird dates, or don't. Go to the movies by yourself, sit and drink a Guiness at an Irish Pub alone. Explore, experiment. Do it!
Then comment and share. Because duh, it's a blog and it's 2015. Inspire us girl.
xx,
TIB
